HOW FUNDING HELPS

Funding for a project of this size all comes down to time. I'm self-employed, and earn enough from doing commercial artwork to make a living, but unfortunately there is very little money available from publishers for creator owned comics. For every day I work on The Firelight Isle, I need to raise enough to pay for basic living costs during that time. I've successfully funded the first stage on the project through Indie GoGo, but I'm looking for funding in as many different forms as possible so that I can afford to work faster, and move onto the second stage of the project as efficiently as possible! The more I raise the faster I can go, since it can afford me both more days of the week and also the ability to hire other artists! If you'd like to help out, there are various options below.

PAYPAL DONATIONS

The second phase of the project is still to come, and any extra donations will help me squeeze that much more out of the project. You can click the donate button above to donate to the project using paypal, or any major credit or debit card.

SPONSORSHIP

If you're an individual with a business and you'd like to sponsor the project in return for promotion or advertising, please send me an email! I'm happy to deal with any sponsorship requests on a case-by-case basis, so whether you're interested in advert space, product promotion or just a shout out in the blog, anything goes!

WORD OF MOUTH

The most valuable type of donation is possibly just getting mentioned! If you're interested in the project, please talk about it in every way you can Follow along on twitter, facebook and blogger, and pass it on to anyone who would be interested. You don't need to have thousands of followers - one dedicated fan is worth countless random passers-by.

INDIE GOGO CAMPAIGN

The Indie GoGo campaign for The Firelight Isle ended on Wed Feb 01 2012, and exceeded its goal of $6600 by raising a total of $7989! Thanks to this amazing turnout, I've been able to fund the first stage of the project, the writing, thumbnailing, research and design stage! Massive thanks is due to those who contributed during this time, their credits can be found on the front page of this website!
